These Paint Colors Could Increase Your Home’s Value by Up to $5,000

Don’t leave money on the table when it comes to the sale of your house. Who doesn’t like to get more money, right?

This morning I read an interesting article in BH&G by Jessica Bennett, and I thought that it was worth sharing. Being an interior designer I believe that certain paint colors might increase your home value and add a boost to your home’s sale price.

Here is my short version of a huge article.

Paint has the power to completely transform a room compared to other home remodeling projects. Depending on the color you choose, the payoff from a few cans of paint can be huge, and if you’re looking to sell your home, it could amount to a few thousand dollars.

New research done by the paint company Behr suggests certain paint colors in home decor can increase the amount a buyer is willing to offer on a home by as much as 5,000!

It’s also suggested to paint bedrooms a deep blue color – but in my opinion, I would stay away from this idea.

Neutral Living Room Paint Colors

It pays to keep things neutral when planning your palette of colors in home gathering spaces like the kitchen and living room. In the kitchen, crisp white paint colors like Polar Bear 75 could add more than $500 to your home’s value, while light-gray living rooms were linked to about a bit more of boost in the offer price.

I hope these few suggestions will give you some ideas on how to prepare your home when you are ready to sell. Don’t hesitate to rich out. I’d welcome an opportunity to help you with your property value, marketing, photography, and getting your house ready before putting it on the market.
Let’s plan together your next best step.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
